Jonathan Malloy, 6-5 JR SF Compton (Calif.) Centennial, hasn't received the hype of some of his teammates, but we've felt for some time that he is probably the best long-term prospect on the Centennial team.

Malloy has a good basketball body, long and lean, and he's a very good athlete. His offensive game is just starting to blossom and we think he has a considerable upside.

We spoke with Malloy yesterday and asked him about the schools he's been hearing from so far.

"Cincinnati, Seton Hall, Providence, San Francisco, Mississippi State, Tulane, Tulsa, Portand and William & Mary," said Malloy.

Malloy said USF came to a workout at his school. "I've been talking to USF, Tulsa and William & Mary."

When questioned about what he is looking for in a school, Malloy replied, "I'd like to be able to play right away. And I wouldn't mind going away."

Malloy said he's not close to making a decision. "I won't decide until I take all my visits and I won't take any until after the summer."

Malloy said he has a 2.4 GPA and he'll take the SAT on Saturday.
