Leader For Eatmon

Curtis Eatmon, one of the top guards in the west for 2006, says a Mountain West program is currently his leader...

We spoke with Curtis Eatmon, 6-2 JR PG/SG Rancho Cucamonga (Calif.) Los Osos, last night and asked him about his recent official visit to Utah.

"It went good," said Eatmon. "It was a first class presentation of academics, athletics and the environment. The players were cool – they welcomed me. And I'm developing a good relationship with Coach Giacoletti and Coach Wilson. They're both genuine and trustworthy."

We asked Eatmon about the offers he's received to date.

"Utah, Colorado State and San Diego have offered," said Eatmon.

Eatmon said one school stands out for him at this time.

"Utah is my leader right now," said Eatmon. "They have a winning tradition and they've made me a priority. But me and my family will be making this lifetime decision after July.

Eatmon will be busy in the month of July. "I'm playing at the Adidas camp, the Showtime championship, the Super 64 and the Best of Summer," said Eatmon. "I haven't set up any other visits yet, but I may take an unofficial visit to Vanderbilt in June or July."
