A few years back, Gilbert Brown was dubbed "Grandma" for his lack of athleticism. Now the 6-foot-6 South Kent (Conn.) wing is one of the most athletic guys in the country and he'll play in the Big East.
, a 6-6, 195-pound rising senior wing at South Kent (Conn.), committed to Pittsburgh
on Thursday morning, according to South Kent coach Raphael Chillious.
``He did an unofficial there recently and got a great feel for the coaching staff," Chillious said. "Obviously, he fell in love with the facilities and the academics support really excited he and his mother."
Brown, who is long and athletic, also took unofficials to Virginia and West Virginia - and considered Miami and Georgia Tech.
``Pittsburgh really needed an athletic three-man and that's exactly what he is," Chillious said. "He's progressed more than any player I've seen frome his ninth-grade year until his senior year."
