West Coast All-Star Camp Second Session

Craig Brackins, Elijah Holman, Jonathan Gunderson and Nigel Carter are among the players on hand at the West Coast All-Star Camp second session...

The West Coast All-Star Camp second session began yesterday and we got a brief look at a number of players. Here are some early impressions.

Elijah Holman, 6-8 JR C Richmond (Calif.) High. Great-looking young center prospect with a big wing span and good frame. An excellent shot blocker, Holman is still developing his offensive game. But he's got a nice touch around the basket and a very high upside. A potential elite, high major prospect.

Craig Brackins, 6-9 SR C Woodland Hills (Calif.) Taft. Long and mobile post with good hops and excellent feet. Hasn't really developed any go-to moves inside yet, but has very good timing as a shot blocker. Academics will be an issue, but a potential big-time prospect down the road.

Jonathan Gunderson, 6-4 SR SG Rancho Santa Margarita (Calif.) Santa Margarita. One of the bigger sleepers in the west, Gunderson has really improved his ball skills in the last year. While he's not a point guard, he's very good with the ball and makes good decisions. He's a terrific defender and a potential mid to high major prospect.

Marcus Balinton, 6-6 SR SF Antioch (Calif.) Deer Valley. Very athletic wing with long arms and decent shot to 17-19 feet. Very active and a good defender.

Jordan Cameron, 6-5 SR SG/SF Newbury Park (Calif.) High. Good shooter with size and a nice feel for the game.

Nigel Carter, 6-4 SO SG Woodland Hills (Calif.) Taft. Good-sized wing with a nice stroke and good ball skills.
