Towson Lands Lithuanian Shooter

On Friday, Towson coach Michael Hunt received another commitment from the Class of 2002. However, Hunt's going to have to take Lithuanian lessons from Wake Forest coach Skip Prosser.

Petkunas Picks Towson

Wake Forest coach Skip Prosser has two Lithuanians on his roster. The first-year Wake skipper likes to learn Lithuanian words to better the communication between player and coach. Maybe, he'll share part of his new vocabulary with Towson coach Michael Hunt.

This week, Hunt's Tigers received a commitment from 6-5 Lithuanian shooter Andrius Petkunas. Hunt found Petkunas at Christian Faith Center in Creedmoor, N.C.

Petkunas is an interesting prospect in this regard: no one really knows how good he is. CFC rarely uses him in its up-tempo offense. However, when given the chance, Petkunas has in the past dropped treys with consistency. For whatever reason, his style of play might not have messed with CFC and thus his playing time was negated.

However, in all likelihood, Towson has a young man who can make jump shots on the wing when given the chance.
