Kinsey Picks Gamecocks
Less than two weeks ago, Tampa (FL) Jefferson senior small forward Tarence Kinsey said that he liked Boston College and UMass and could see himself picking from the two schools.
Shortly thereafter, UMass received a commitment from Jeff Viggiano who took the Minutemen's final scholarship. However, Kinsey per a previous conversation also said that he was waiting to see what would pop in the coming weeks. At the time, South Carolina was recruiting him. Now, they have a commitment from him.
"He's going to the University of South Carolina," Randolph Kinsey, Terance's legal guardian and grandfather said on Tuesday evening.
The grandfather said the small forward committed last Friday and visited the school during a recent NIT home game. Kinsey averaged 25 points as a senior and 20 per game as a junior.
