We received the following press release this morning from Curtis Eatmon, 6-2 SR PG/SG Rancho Cucamonga (Calif.) Los Osos, announcing that he's made a verbal commitment to Utah.

"Today I made a verbal commitment to attend the University of Utah to play the game of basketball with the goal of winning Conference Championships and competing in NCAA Tournament play. I choose the University of Utah over the numerous schools that have recruited me because of the relationship that Coach Giacoletti and Coach Wilson have fostered with me through out this recruiting process.

Coach Giacoletti and Coach Marty Wilson has exhibited their belief in my capabilities with their ability to evaluate my talents by developing with me a genuine relationship, proper communication, and trust which involved time, sincere interest, consistency, listening, suggestions, and questions. I choose to join the University of Utah Family with the complete confidence that Coach Giacoletti and staff can help me achieve my goals and dreams as a basketball player and a man. I intend to do my best by immediately making an impact to help the University of Utah continue its tradition of winning Conference Championships and competing in the NCAA tournament.

Throughout this recruiting process I have tried to find a program that will be an extension of my immediate family. My search was for a family that exhibits the Spirit of Leadership by cultivating the attitudes that influence human action. I have found that trustworthiness and family attitude in Coach Giacoletti. I look forward to developing as a student-athlete within the basketball program at the University of Utah."
