2007 Focus: Jeremy Price

The Georgia Stars under-16 squad was loaded this past summer. Nearly everyone knows about Gani Lawal – and we took a look at Jamar Moore last week.

However, when this team moves up next year it's a good bet that Jeremy Price will become one of the most sought-after big men in the nation.

The 6-foot-8, 250-pound Price, who attends the same school, Decatur Columbia (Ga.), as another standout on the Georgia Stars, Lance Storrs, has all the physical tools that college coaches are looking for.

Price has the size, he can score in the low post and can also step out and knock down shots from mid range. He still needs to work on his footwork and become a better shot-blocker.

Price, who turns 18 in March, averaged 17 points and 12.4 rebounds per game as a sophomore. He already has offers from Georgia and Alabama – and also lists Kansas, Virginia Tech and Indiana among his handful of leaders.

However, one factor will be important to him when making his decision.

``A lot of schools are going to talk to me and send me stuff, but I'm going to look at the schools that actually come to my high school to watch me play," Price said. "Everyone comes to our AAU games, but you can really tell the schools that are serious by seeing who comes to your high school games."
