We spoke with Kerry Woolridge, 6-6 JR SF San Leandro (Calif.) High, recently and he told us his early list of favorites includes Oregon, Oregon St., Arizona St., Colorado St., New Mexico and San Diego. Woolridge said, "New Mexico was my leader, but they just lost their coach."
We asked Woolridge about the issues that would influence his decision and he said, "One thing that doesn't matter is location -- I'll go anywhere. My relationship with the coach and the players will be important."
When asked about the importance of early playing time, Woolridge replied, "Early playing time is kind of important. I'd like to be able to get some minutes. I'd also like to play somewhere that has an up-tempo system."
Woolridge listed Michigan and North Carolina as the two programs he admired the most when growing up.
Woolridge will play with the Bay Area Ballers this summer and he'll be with the team for two tournaments in Las Vegas this coming weekend.
Woolridge told us he has a GPA of around 2.3 and he scored 1000 on the SAT.
