Horner Takes Aim On Visits

Small forward Dennis Horner is setting up his visits. As it stands now, he's got two officials plus an unofficial on the way.

Dennis Horner, a small forward out of Absecon (N.J.) Holy Spirit, is likely to crack Scout.com's Top 100 when released within the week. The 6-foot-7 Jersey product had an excellent spring and carried that right through the summer.

He's trimmed his school list to three programs: West Virginia, North Carolina State and Notre Dame.

"I'm pretty sure as of right now I'm going on an unofficial to North Carolina State," Horner said. "I'm going to an official to West Virginia and an official at Notre Dame."

Horner took an official visit to N.C. State in the spring and is heading back on Sept. 4th as the Pack plays Virginia Tech in Sunday night football.

The following weekend, Horner will take an official visit to his leader, West Virginia. "They've been in it the longest and showed the most interest," Horner said. I get along with the coaching staff." Horner is a big John Beilein fan.

His final trip will be to Notre Dame the weekend of Sept. 17th when the Irish square off against the Spartans on the gridiron.

With the Irish, the lure is simple. "It's the school," Horner said. "It's Notre Dame. Coach Brey came down to Holy Spirit and it's very prestigious."

The good news, Horner says, is that he can't make a bad decision because each program should afford him the opportunity to succeed. "I think they all fit my style of play and I can play on the wing too."
