Cem Dinc Commits on Visit

Cem Dinc took one visit - and that's all he needed. The 6-foot-10, 250-pound big man committed on Wednesday and will play in the Big Ten.

Cem Dinc didn't need to take another visit.

The 6-foot-10, 250-pound dual citizen (Turkey and Germany) committed to Indiana while on an official visit to Bloomington on Wednesday afternoon.

``I'm really excited and I had a great time here this week," Dinc (pronounced Gem Dench) said. "I met a lot of people and they made me feel comfortable. I saw this was the school for me."

``They were recruiting me very hard and really wanted me," he added. "North Carolina wanted me to visit on Thursday and Florida wanted me to visit today, but I canceled both visits because I know this is the right place for me."

One of the selling points, according to Dinc, was the fact that Indiana coach Mike Davis would allow the big man to play on the perimeter.

``He said I could play the three and the two," Dinc said. "He also said I'd play 30-plus minutes a game this year and we'd have a good chance of going to the Final Four."
