As it stands now, there is a leader (and has been for a few months). "Texas still leads," Pittman told Scout.com. "They're so close to home and it's a good program."
Pittman's official visit to Texas will be his 5tth and final trip. It's scheduled to take place the weekend of Oct. 14th in Austin, the first weekend college basketball practices gear up.
In the interim, Pittman has set his other four visits and begins the process with a trip to Arizona State this coming weekend.
Florida State follows the Sun Devils the weekend of Sept. 9th, followed by Oklahoma State (dad's alma mater) on September 16th and Texas A&M closes out the month on Sept. 30.
Pittman says that anything can happen and though Texas leads, it's a long way to the alter.
"That's why I'm going on the visits," Pittman chuckles. "I can't explain it but if it's a good school with the atmosphere and I feel comfortable with it when it take my visits (I can commit there)."
Meanwhile, Pittman says he "sweats" everyday and is running the bleachers. His bench press just topped 345 pounds and he's trying to avoid going under the knife for the turf toe.
"I haven't got surgery yet. They're trying to hold back because if I have to get it then I miss my whole high school season. But, it's fine now."
