Jackson Sets Westward Visit

Tory Jackson is about to hit the visit trail again. This coming weekend he's heading out west.

Saginaw (Mich.) Buena Vista point guard Tory Jackson, Scout.com's No. 86 prospect in the Class of 2006, is taking another official visit this coming weekend. After tripping to Michigan and Florida in the spring, Jackson is heading to Southern Cal this weekend.

"I leave Thursday," Jackson said. "They had a good relationship with my AAU Coach. I know I can get in there and do big things."

Jackson, a 6-foot, 165-pounder, previously had been thought to be a lock for Michigan but the commitment hasn't come to fruition, though his father said the Wolverines have always been high on his list.

"That was his No.1 (choice)," James Jackson said. "I don't know if anything has changed. I haven't been pushing him and want him to make up his own mind."

Jackson's father indicated that Purdue and Notre Dame have shown interest. "Notre Dame just got in the mix," Tory Jackson said. "My boy Tom (Herzog) was thinking about them and that got me excited."

Jackson said that Florida, Michigan, Connecticut and Michigan State are all on his list. Scout.com confirmed that UConn and Michigan State have not formally offered.
