Jasper Sets Four Trips

Derrick Jasper heard the questions heading into the summer whether or not he could play the point. It didn't take long for the 6-foot-5 Paso Robles High (Calif.) senior to answer them.

Derrick Jasper did a lot of sacrificing for the team this past summer and it paid off.

There were plenty of people who questioned whether the 6-foot-5, 210-pound Jasper could run the point – and he answered his critics.

``I was happy with how I played and how the team did this summer," said the Paso Robles High (Calif.) senior guard. "I led the team, made the extra pass because we had great scorers and two good big men."

If there was a criticism of Jasper this summer, it was that he didn't shoot enough.

Jasper will get his official visit tour going with a trip to Kentucky on Sept. 9. Then, on the following two weekends, he'll head to Washington and Illinois before finishing up with Memphis for Midnight Madness.

``I doubt I'll take any more visits," Jasper said. "I'm going to decide after those four." ``Right now, they're all even," he added.
