Howard Picks Georgia State

Georgia State is hot. The Panthers added a pair of guards in back to back days.

Delano Howard, one of the top point guards in the state of Georgia, committed to play for Michael Perry's Georgia State Panthers on Tuesday.

Howard, a 5-foot-11 senior at Snellville (Ga.) South Gwinnett, picked the Panthers after taking a visit there recently, according to his father.

"I was real, real impressed when we went down there on an unofficial visit," Delano Howard, Sr., said. "I think they have some good pieces that they're putting together. I think with a couple of more pieces they could be a powerhouse. When they got Rashad Chase last year I thought it was a steal."

The Panthers have been busy. Earlier in the week the program commandeered a commitment from Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy guard Trae Goldston. The Stone Mountain native picked Georgia State after looking strongly at James Madison.
