Scoop On Jardine's Favorite 3

Antonio "Scoop" Jardine has three schools he likes these days. This weekend, he'll be at one of them on an unofficial visit.

One of the top-ranked point guards in the Class of 2007 will be busy this weekend. Antonio Jardine, a 6-foot-2 point guard out of Philadelphia's St. John Neumann/Goretti is getting in his car to see a football game and take an unofficial visit on Saturday.

"Tomorrow I'm going up to Syracuse," Jardine said Friday afternoon. "It'll be me, my dad and Coach John (Mosco) to watch the football game."

Jardine, a coveted guard in his class, has schollie offers from Syracuse, Villanova and Virginia. He's been on unofficial visits to Rutgers, Villanova and Syracuse. He's likely to schedule an unofficial to Virginia (which has another Philly point on its roster) for later this fall.

At this point, a trio of schools does standout in his recruitment. "The top three at Syracuse, Villanova and Wake Forest."

And why? "I just like them," Jardine said. "They're the schools I like besides North Carolina. I like Villanova a lot, I like Syracuse and I think Wake Forest fits my game."
