Deane Decides To Remain Home

Another Top 100 prospect has made his pick. Daniel Deane is staying in-state to play his college basketball.

The Utah Utes, according to The Salt Lake Tribune, have added's No. 99 prospect from the Class of 2006. Daniel Deane, a 6-foot-8 insider out of Park City (Utah) Judge Memorial, ended his recruitment this week.

"I felt the most comfortable at the U.," Deane told the newspaper. "I've been a Utah fan all my life."

In addition to being a Utah fan, Deane is also a big proponent of hustling. He's one of those guys who maxes out his effort each time he plays. There's not beautiful about his overall game other than his blue collar approach to basketball. A dive on the floor, box out for the rebound kind of guy, Deane brings energy and intensity.

The Utes now have a three-man class working. Guard Curtis Eatmon and center David Foster were already on board. Deane is the program's first Top 100 recruit this season. He had visited Stanford, Gonzaga and Kansas during the process.
