Pittsburgh Finds 2003 Center

The Pittsburgh Panthers got onto the 2003 commitment train when they received a verbal from one of the finest post players in the Midwest. Walter Waters is a Panther.

Waters Makes Commitment

Walter Waters, a 6-9 center from Detroit (MI) Southeastern committed to the Panthers late last week, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Waters, a standout with Chris Grier's Michigan Hurricanes, averaged 18 points and 10 rebounds a game last season and was second-team All-Detroit. The big fella can score in the post and is a stand-your-ground defender.

Houston, Iowa, Marquette, Michigan and Missouri showed interest in him early. He is Pittsburgh's first commitment in the Class of 2003.
