"My gut feeling is that he's going to wait until the spring," ACD Coach Rex Morgan said.
Bennett, who took the ACT last Saturday, could technically begin the visitation process once his score gets posted but if he's going to wait until the spring then what's the use of burning the trips this fall?
"I think everybody wants to see where he stands," Morgan said. "My thing is to Jason is that if he signs in the spring; he needs to take the visits in the spring as opposed to taking them now."
The progress Bennett made this summer has been steady through the fall. The aggression with which Bennett closed the summer is starting to really shine through according to Morgan.
"He's playing well right now. He's 253 (pounds). All the stuff that we worked on … offensively he's a beast and he's never been that. Big kids come late and when they come they come like a freight train."
A freight train that might not arrive at its destination until the spring.
