Muonelo Pulls The Big 12 Trigger

Edmond (Okla.) Sante Fe wing Obi Muonelo couldn't even until after the visit to make his decision. Stillwater is the place for's No. 32 prospect.

Oklahoma State pretty much led wire to wire for 6-foot-5 Sante Fe wing Obi Muonelo. After visiting – actually during the visit – Muonelo pulled the trigger and joined the Cowboys this weekend.

"This weekend I had a good time with the coaches and the staff," Muonelo said. "They've got good people around the whole place but most of all I like hanging out with the players."

An athletic specimen capable of playing more than one position, Muonelo found Stillwater to be quite the fit.

"I think I can come in and help the team," Muonelo said. "Everybody is good on their team. People know about good young all-americans they got. They're all good."

Muonelo is talking about the outstanding recruiting class that Eddie Sutton masterfully cooked up last year, led by all-american Byron Eaton. Muonelo indicated that the Cowboys held the top spot for most of his recruitment.

"They lead the whole time. They were always in front but I was always indecisive about making a quick decision."

Muonelo took his time, talked to Kansas, Texas, Oklahoma and a host of other programs nationally, but in the end he stuck to his guns and gave Sutton the commitment during the official visit this weekend.
