Morris Sees Recruitment Pick Up

At the recent Boo Williams Invitational, guard Tim Morris announced his presence. The 2001 Nike camper has expanded his game to where he's a legit combo guard with deep range. Morris gave his most recent list and insight into his recruitment.

Schools Like His Dual-Position Ability

Atlanta (GA) Whitefield Academy guard Tim Morris is blossoming into one of the best combo guards in the country. "Coach Parker (of the Georgia Stars) is giving me the chance to do it," Morris said of playing both positions. "I always knew I could do it. It's just about getting comfortable."

At Boo, Morris looked more than comfortable in the role. While attacking the rim and draining deep jumpers, he also showcased the ability to play point guard at the high-major level. College recruiters agree. "Some of them wanted me to (play both spots) but now they are more sure."

Since the Boo, Florida has intensified their recruitment of Morris. So has NC State. Notre Dame, Stanford and Georgia Tech have always been in on him. Maryland and NC State are coming Thursday to watch him workout. Paul Hewitt of Georgia Tech was in on Monday.

Morris, while being a big time player, is also a tremendous student.
