Tat Gives Cavs Another Wing Commitment

Solomon Tat is headed to the ACC. The Virginia Cavaliers received their second commitment in the last week.

The Virginia Cavaliers, during a Monday press conference, received a commitment from 6-foot-5 wing Solomon Tat out of Stockbridge (Ga.) Community Christian.

"Solomon has committed to the University of Virginia," Community Christian coach Linzy Davis, confirmed to Scout.com Monday evening via a telephone message.

Tat, a native of Nigeria, was part of the class that helped get Community Christian started three seasons ago. He attended the Nike All-American Camp last summer and at the time was thought to be close to committing to Texas during the camp. The commitment never took place and the process began to open up.

A strong, physical guard, Tat joins Jamil Tucker as the second prospect to commit to the Cavaliers in the last week.

As a junior, Tat scored 24 points a game and shot 52% from the field. According to the media guide from the Nike All-American Camp, Tat has a career-high of 52 points.
