Scott Brittain To Boston University

Not a lot of people know much about Scott Britain - and that was exactly how Boston University head coach Dennis Wolff and his staff wanted it.

Scott Brittain didn't get a whole lot of publicity north of the border – and Boston University isn't complaining.

The 6-foot-8, 210-pound senior at Iroquois Ridge in Oakville, Ontario, who averaged 20 points and 11 boards per game last season, chose the Terriers after taking official visits to BU, Pepperdine and George Washington. He also considered Fairfield and Colgate.

"This is an awesome opportunity and I really look forward to playing for Coach Wolff at BU and making a contribution to the team," Brittain said. "Boston University gave me the perfect mix of a top ranked business school, successful basketball program and a really nice campus and city. The coaching staff there is super and the players are a great bunch of guys." >{? ``I really liked my visit to BU," Brittain said. "Boston is a really nice town, the players on the team are great and the coaching staff is awesome. It just has a good feel to it."

Brittain, 17, played with Team Ontario and went to Kentucky and played in the Main Event in Las Vegas – but that was about the extent of the exposure he received this past spring and summer.

``I was looking for an all-around program that had good academics and a good basketball program," added Brittain, who has a 3.5 GPA and scored a 1,000 on the SAT. "I also wanted a good location and to get along with the teammates and coaches. BU had all of that."
