The 6-foot-7, 225-pound senior power forward at Bethel (Va.) High, chose the Vols for a few reasons.
``They have great athletes in all of their programs," Crews said. "Women's basketball, track, baseball. The men's basketball program is on the rise and it's a great situation for me."
``I felt comfortable at Tennessee on my visit," he added. "It was a tough decision, but at the end of the day, I made the decision to go to Tennessee."
``Coach (Bruce) Pearl is a proven winner everwhere he's been - and at every level," Crews said of his future coach. "They have a great staff and it's just a perfect situation for me."
Crews burst onto the scene in the spring and went from a mid-major target to one of the most highly sough-after players in the nation. He currently occupies the No. 36 spot on Scout.com's national rankings and plays much bigger than his size.
