Kenny Lawson, 6-9 SR PF/C Oceanside (Calif.) Vista, is the best uncommitted post player in the west. He's got a solid frame, with good feet, and he's just scratched the surface of his potential.

We spoke with Lawson last night and asked about the schools that are involved in his recruitment.

"Creighton, Wyoming, Oregon State, San Francisco, Providence, Utah and Tulsa are some of them," said Lawson.

When asked if any school stands out from the pack, Lawson said, "As of now, Creighton is probably my leader, but that's just today. I'm still open."

Lawson has taken two visits, to Creighton and Oregon State. We asked him for his thoughts on the visits.

"I felt like I fit in better with the guys at Oregon State," said Lawson. "But I think Creighton has better academic support, a better education and they have good coaching."

Lawson has had two home visits with Creighton. Tulsa, Oregon State, Wyoming and USF have come to Lawson's home for visits as well.

Lawson said he would like to sign early, if possible, but said that waiting to spring could be an option.
