Another Alabaman To Bloomington

Xavier Keeling is heading to a program that has connections to the state of Alabama. This week, Keeling picked a Big Ten powerhouse.

Mike Davis has recruited the state of Indiana quite well the past few seasons. This time around, he's gone into the state for another forward. Xavier Keeling, a 6-foot-6 small forward out of Huntsville (Ala.) Johnson, committed to the Hoosiers this week.

""I like Mike Davis so much, and I like the way he coaches," Keeling told Hoosier Nation. "It's the way I get along with Coach Davis and all the coaches that makes me want to commit."

Keeling is a strong athlete. Known as the consummate hustler, he's one of those guys with a motor that never quits. While playing with Southeast Elite and the Alabama Lasers, he showcased the passing skills of a strong player and scored 17 points a game with his high school last season.

Davis has always had strong Alabama ties. He played at Alabama four seasons and won the team's hustle award each time out. Somehow you have to think Davis' hustling style translates into Keeling's game.
