Schools Making A Point To See Scott

The talk coming out of the adidas Texas Classic was that Warren Scott of the Mississippi Panthers had himself a fine weekend. That makes perfect sense seeing as some big timers have been by Abramson High this spring to check him out.

Scott Having Multiple Visitors

Warren Scott, a 6-7 ½ combo forward from New Orleans Abramson played with the Mississippi Panthers at the adidas Texas Classic. Apparently, he played really well.

"He's doing great," Abramson head coach Bob Taranto said. "North Carolina really liked his work ethic and what they saw and came down (Tuesday) to see him."

The Tar Heels aren't the only program to watch him. Wake Forest also watched him last week. Tulane, Oklahoma, Mississippi, California, Memphis, Houston and Florida State have also been in, according his AAU coach Rob Tillman.

As a junior, Scott was the team's second leading scorer behind a swingman who signed with McNeese State. He averaged 17 points and 9 rebounds for a team advanced to the state semifinals. He was one of the leading scorers at the December City of Palms event.

Currently, he hasn't taken any unofficial visits and has none planned. "He's leaving everything open right now," Taranto said.

Next Monday, Memphis, Oklahoma and LSU will be in to watch him, according to Tillman.
