Three Emerge For Raji

Sports run in the Raji Family. With a brother on football scholarship at Boston College, what does the future hold for Corey?

It's early, but Westwood (N.J.) High forward Corey Raji has a top list of three schools. The 6-foot-5 Raji told Scout.com at the Eddie Griffin Challenge that Boston College, Virginia and Maryland comprised his favorite trio.

Raji added that he's got offers from Miami, Seton Hall and St. John's. In the week following the Challenge, Raji visited St. John's unofficially.

However, the school with the best tie to Raji is Boston College where his brother is a starter on the defensive line for the Eagles. B.J. Raji's presence at B.C. aides the Eagles chances.

"It helps," Raji said. "My parents want me to go there because my brother went there. If I go there people will treat me with respect."

Raji, a player with a tremendous amount of energy and passion, will likely play the small forward in college. "I'd have to work on my handle and get a better shot," Raji said.

As he's set to begin his junior season, regardless of what position he plays, rebounding ranks as his top asset. "It's a God-given talent," Raji said. As a sophomore for Westwood Regional, the 6-5 forward averaged 16 boards a game.
