Lane Has Group of Leaders

Eric Lane, 6-0 JR PG Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco, hasn't received a lot of national attention, but he's one of the better players at his position in the junior class. College coaches, though, are aware of him and several have visited Lane at his school in the last couple weeks.

Lane told us that Loyola Marymount, Nebraska, New Mexico, USC and Boston College have all been out to St. John Bosco recently.

We asked him if any schools stood out for him after the visits and Lane replied, "Boston College, USC, Loyola Marymount and Nebraska would probably be the top four right now. But I'm still open to hearing from any schools."

Lane has not yet taken any visits, but says he may go to Loyola Marymount on an official visit in May. "We haven't set up a date yet," Lane said.

When asked about the timing of his decision, Lane said, "There's no rush. I'll probably take my time and decide in the fall."
