Jones Will Decide Soon

Bobby Jones, 6-7 SF Long Beach (Calif.) Poly, told us last night that he will likely choose between two schools -- Long Beach St. and Washington.

Jones visited Long Beach St. last weekend. "It was a pretty good trip," Jones said. "I've been there many times before, so I'd seen most of it already. But the players treated me real well, took me to some parties on campus and I had a good time."

Washington is a late entrant in the Jones recruitment. "Coach Romar came in last week to visit me," Jones said. "He was real cool. He's basically from the same neighborhood as me. A real good coach, he plays whoever plays the hardest. And it's in the Pac-10."

Jones went on to say, "I'll choose between Long Beach St. and Washington. I should have a decision after my trip to Washington this weekend."

A good student, Jones is fully qualified.
