Keith Cothran flew under the radar for much of the summer, but the 6-4 Connecticut native, who is spending the season at Winchendon, is headed to the A-10.
, a 6-foot-4, 170-pound shooting guard at Winchendon (Mass.), committed to Rhode Island
``A lot of people don't know much about him nationally, but he's a poor man's Julius Hodge," Winchendon coach Mike Bynes said. "He does a little bit of everything, but he excels in the open court."
Cothran missed much of the fall with a toe injury, but also attracted interest from the likes of UNLV, Miami, DePaul, Hofstra, Marist and Bradley.
``He'll fit in well with the direction that Rhode Island is headed," Byrnes added. "They have a real nice recruiting class and he fits their style perfectly."
``Keith just needs to get stronger and become more consistent with his outside shot," added Byrnes.
Cothran will join St. Thomas More (Conn.) guards Terence Grier and Marquis Jones and forwards Delroy James, Jonathan Cruz and junior college forward Joe Mbang in URI's class.
