Paul Makes Plans For First Visit

Chris Paul is going where few have gone before. By taking an official visit this coming weekend, he's one of just a few juniors to take advantage of the new rule permitting official visits at an early stage.

Paul To Visit Wake Forest

Chris Paul, one of the better point guards in the Class of 2003 will make his first official visit this weekend, learned.

The West Forsyth guard will visit Wake Forest the weekend of May 3-5.

"He said that he wanted to try and get something done by the end of the summer so he's going to go ahead and start looking," Kappa Magic AAU coach Andre Gould said.

The Deacons were the first school to go hard after Paul so it makes sense they receive the first shot at him. But, they probably won't be the only visit.

"He's probably going to try and visit all of them," Gould said. According to Gould, NC State and North Carolina would also be in line for visits. UConn is another school that has been prominently mentioned.

"He's a smart young man," Gould said. "He'll make a good decision after he visits. He's an intelligent young man and that's why I like having him around."

Apparently, plenty of schools agree.
