We spoke with Harrison Schaen, 6-7 JR PF Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei, last night and he told us he has five schools in mind for visits.
Schaen, who visited USC recently, will visit Arizona this weekend and Stanford the following weekend. After those visits, he hopes to trip to Yale and Princeton prior to the summer AAU circuit. "My goal is to take all my trips early," Schaen said. "And I'd like to decide on a school by the Nike Camp (early July).
We asked Schaen about his trip to USC and he was very enthusiastic. "I loved everything about it," Schaen said. "The players, the school, the staff...I had a real good connection with the staff. USC has one of the best business schools in the country and I want to major in business. They would be my top choice right now, but I haven't seen any other schools yet and I'm keeping all my options open."
Schaen said that he prefers to stay on the West Coast, but he recognizes the value of an Ivy League education. "Not many people get a chance to play basketball at Yale or Princeton," Schaen said. "I definitely want to get accepted to those schools, so they're an option if it doesn't work out for me to play at USC, Stanford or Arizona."
