An Update On Charles Richardson

With guys like Dee Brown and Shannon Brown making headlines left and right – and deservedly so – it's easy to see why a 5-8 point guard might fly under the radar. Overshadowed or not, plenty of schools have become enamored with Charles Richardson.

Schools Have Already Offered Richardson

Maywood (IL) Proviso East point guard Charles Richardson seems to be having a successful spring. The 5-8, 150 pounder played very well at the Boo Williams Invitational. As a junior on a high school team loaded with two McDonald's All-Americans, he was still able to average 14 points.

5-8 or not, Charles Richardson can play.

Currently, he's listing Ball State, Miami-OH, Murray State, Nebraska, Seton Hall, Oklahoma, Iowa State and Florida State among his top schools. "At this point, there is not a leader," Richardson said. "I have not visited any schools on this list."

Richardson further added that Oregon, Ball State, Cincinnati, Nebraska, Western Kentucky, DePaul and Illinois-Chicago have seen him in action this year. Miami-OH, Ball State, Murray State and Nebraska have already offered him a scholarship.

"The most important aspect of in making my decision will be how the coaches are, and how long they have been in their program."

Look for Richardson to make official visits to the schools not within driving distance and visit the rest unofficially this summer.
