Mitch Platt, 6-9 JR C Henderson (Nev.) Green Valley, told us recently that he's been visited by Pac-10, Big 12, WCC and Mountain West schools in the past couple weeks. Platt didn't want to divulge just yet the specific schools that are recruiting him.

We asked about the factors he'd consider when making his decision and Platt said, "I want to stay on the West Coast. Somewhere 1-2 hours away on a plane. It'll depend on how I fit in the school. I'd like to play in an up-tempo system. And the coach will be important -- I want to know that he won't be leaving."

Platt doesn't plan on making an early commitment. "I'll wait, take 5 visits after the summer and then decide," Platt said.

Platt told us he averaged 12 points and 9 rebounds a game this season. He said his GPA is 3.2 and he was scheduled to take the SAT this past Saturday.
