Junior Rides With The Cowboys

Steve McClain's Wyoming Cowboys landed a good one early. Downey (Calif.) Calvary Baptist is home to a promising junior and a future Cowboy.

The Wyoming Cowboys have been working on this one a long time. Darrington Hobson, a 6-foot-6 small forward out of Calvary Baptist picked Wyoming over the weekend.

"I had been talking to Coach Vandiver since day one," Hobson said. "He always told me that if I went to Wyoming I would come in and start right away."

The Cowboys, according to Hobson, were the first school to come in and put the offer on the table.

"I just felt like it was time (to commit). No other schools were on me hard like Wyoming. My dad felt it was time."

Hobson left Stoneridge Prep this season and went with the coach to Calvary Baptist. They've been practicing but have yet to play a game.
