Maryland, Virginia Tech, DePaul, Xavier and St. Joe's were among a handful of schools that recruited Gregory hard. Gary Williams and the Terrapins are expected to land Gregory when he announced his decision.
"Basically, I think he's a kid who has improved tremendously," Mount St. Joe coach Pat Clatchey told Scout.com. "With two more years of development, he can be a helluva player. He's still going to grow. He doesn't even have a milk mustache."
Gregory averaged 10 points and 6 rebounds for a squad that went 31-4 last season and featured a balanced attack with a number of Division I players. Gregory also accounted for 3 blocks a game.
Gregory has made strides since playing at the Nike Hoop Jamboree last June.
"We're talking about a guy who's putting both hands above the box, knocking down the 15-17 footer and running the floor like a freight train," Clatchey said.
