2007 Introduction: Jeremiah Ostrowski

Jeremiah Ostrowski first caught our attention at a camp two years ago. Now he has some high major programs showing interest in him...

Jeremiah Ostrowski, 5-9 JR PG Honolulu (HI) Puhahou, is a quick, lead guard with a knack for scoring. His size may be an issue at the next level, but he can knock down shots and penetrate to find teammates open looks.

We spoke with Ostrowski yesterday and asked him about the schools he's heard from to date.

"Washington State, Notre Dame, Santa Clara, Yale and Columbia are sending me mail," said Ostrowski. "Washington State came out to the Iolani tournament."

Ostrowski talked a little about what he's looking for in a school.

"I'd like to be able to play right away," said Ostrowski. "Location isn't a big issue, but I'd prefer the west. But I'm open to going east as well."

Ostrowski said he's not in a hurry to make a decision.

"I want to kind of get a feeling for the school's interest," said Ostrowski. "I'll probably wait until after the summer to decide."

Ostrowski mentioned Kentucky as his dream school when he was growing up.

He told us he has a 2.4 GPA.
