"They're an up and coming program," Israel said. "They're already like 4-0 right now. I think they can win the league next year."
Israel's two seasons at Notre Dame were injury filled. As a sophomore, he averaged 1.4 points and 1.8 rebounds. He went through a troublesome knee injury as a freshman. However, the 6-foot-8, 235 pounder says he's ready to play the game again and was drawn to the resurgence that Patsos is putting together at Loyola.
"I committed to Coach Patsos because he said that he could put in an environment that he could develop my game. Really I'm just looking forward to playing. I just love the game and I want to play. I didn't play that much at Notre Dame."
