The 6-foot-3, 190-pound Meadowcreek High (Ga.) junior, who is averaging 30 points, 6.5 rebounds and 6 assists in the team's 7-2 start this season, is flourishing thus far.
Allen scored a career-high 39 points in front of Michigan State coach Tom Izzo in a loss to South Gwinnett. ``So far, this is the best I've ever played in high school," said Allen, who has a pair of triple-doubles and three double-doubles this season.
Allen can shoot it from the perimeter with the best of them, but he's out to prove that he can take it to the basket – and finish.
``I know I need to be more physical," he said.
Allen is originally from Pensacola, Fla., but moved to Georgia when he was about 7 years old.
``Georgia, Clemson and N.C. State have probably been the most aggressive in recruiting me," Allen said.
