|1. NOTRE DAME PREP (MASS.)|
|Comments:||The Crusaders hold onto the top spot entering the Holiday break. Paul Harris earned MVP honors after the team won three games to win the title at the Boys Club last weekend. Lazar Hayward (Marquette) leads the team at 22 points per game while five other players (Harris, Lamonte Ulmer, Robert Mitchell, Charles Swiggett and David Gonzalvez) are all averaging between 9-12 points per contest. ND Prep will have a tough test coming out of the break - with a pair against South Kent.|
|2. PATTERSON SCHOOL (N.C.)|
|Comments:||After an early-season setback to Notre Dame, Chris Chaney's group has been rolling. Davon Jefferson and Hashim Bailey lead the team in scoring at 15 and 14 points per game while senior scoring guard Bobby Maze and junior Dominique Sutton has come on of late. Sutton had 28 against Redemption and 24 in a victory over Rise Academy.|
|3. BRIDGTON ACADEMY (MAINE)|
|Comments:||After the first two teams, it gets difficult. We'll give the nod to Whit Lesure's club in this spot due to a win against Hargrave. Qa'rraan Calhoun scored 26 in the 95-84 victory against Hargrave, who lost to New Hampton in the finals of the Fork Union Tourney. Bridgton also suffered a loss to Champlain St. Lambert in Montreal.|
|4. HARGRAVE MILITARY ACADEMY (VA._|
|Comments:||A pair of losses to top-ranked Notre Dame Prep and Bridgton have Kevin Keatts & Co. dropping a spot. Vernon Macklin (Georgetown) is leading the team with 20 points and 15 boards per contest while unsigned senior forward Tyler Smith is putting up 18.5 points and 8.5 rebounds a game.|
|5. LAURINBURG INSTITUTE (N.C.)|
|Comments:||These guys are talented and proved it with an early victory against St. Thomas More, but we'll need to see them step up their schedule in order to maintain such a lofty ranking for the remainder of the season. Delroy James (URI), Kiwan Smith and Phil Jones have been the anchors for Billy Reid in his first season at the helm.|
|6. ST. THOMAS MORE (CONN.)|
|Comments:||Jere Quinn's squad suffered a surprising loss to Laurinburg in Rhode Island and also fell short against top-ranked Notre Dame, but Antonio Pena (Villanova) and Edwin Ubiles (Siena) have helped lead the Chancellors to wins against South Kent, Boys to Men, Massanutten and Fork Union.|
|7. MASSANUTTEN MILITARY ACADEMY (VA.)|
|Comments:||This might be the biggest surprise thus far, but Bruce Kreutzer has racked up key wins against Brewster and Boys to Men - and the losses have bee to quality teams: Bridgton and St. Thomas More. Scott Grote and Darrion Pellum lead the team - each averaging about 20 points per game. Grote had 32 against Boys to Men.|
|8. BREWSTER ACADEMY (N.H.)|
|Comments:||Will Harris is leading the team, averaging 21 points per contest. Jason Smith's club has suffered losses to Massanutten, Notre Dame and Redemption - with quality wins coming against Bridgton, Winchendon and Worcester.|
|9. SOUTH KENT SCHOOL (CONN.)|
|Comments:||It's been an up and down season thus far for Raphael Chillious' squad, who dropped four early games (Boys to Men, Bridgton, St. Thomas More, Eldon). However, they have rolled off five straight wins heading into the holiday break. Matthew Bryan-Amaning had his best game of the year - 15 points and 17 boards in a 87-75 win against Berean.|
|10. PROCTOR ACADEMY (N.H.)|
|Comments:||A newcomer to the group that not many people know much about, but Jerome Dyson (Uconn) is one of the most prolific scorers in the prep ranks. Wins against Redemption and New Hampton earned these guys a spot in the Top 10, but the schedule may make it difficult for them to remain long-term.|
