TOC Tips Friday Night!

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The Bob Gibbons Tournament of Champions kicks off Friday night. Last year's event was arguably the top spring gathering of the year and the 2002 edition appears to be loaded as well.

Hurricanes Looking To Storm Through N.C.

Yes, the Carolina Hurricanes are one game away from the Stanley Cup, but even they might not be as hot as Chris Grier's bunch of Michigan Hurricanes. Grier's team has stormed through event after event, capturing at least four titles this spring. They'll be the prohibitive favorites once play tips at 5 p.m. on Friday.

There are whispers that superstar LeBron James will be in the house for the event, but don't hold your breath. Regardless, they'll be enough talent to make the above average AAU/high school fan salivate.

You can recaps from Friday and Saturday's action right here at this sit and we'll have a championship rundown at the end of the weekend.

For more information on the event, visit Bob Gibbons' site where you can find the listed pools for the older age brackets.

Enjoy the hoops, DT
