"He has offers from most of the Pac-10 programs," said Kamp. "UCLA, Arizona, Washington and Oregon haven't offered, but the others all have. Also, Virginia, BYU, New Mexico and Iowa have offered. Cal just offered last week. And then there are a number of mid major programs that have offered as well."
Kamp said the plan is for Harper to take a number of unofficial visits in the spring.
"We'd like to visit most of the schools in the spring that have offered," said Mr. Kamp. "And then try to cut the list down to something manageable and go from there."
We asked Mr. Kamp if location would play a role in his son's decision.
"Not at all," said Mr. Kamp. "Location won't be a factor. He's going to make his decision based primarily on basketball. He can get a good education at a lot of schools. The school is what you make of it. He wants to find a place where there is good chemistry with the players and the coaches. The basketball is really the most important thing to him."
Mr. Kamp told us that Harper will play for the Arizona Stars in the spring and summer.
