Chris Rucker, 6-5 JR PF/C Los Angeles Loyola, is a very good, if somewhat undersized, post prospect. Fundamentally solid, Rucker knows how to establish and hold position, and he plays bigger than you'd expect. He plays with very good intensity and makes good decisions on the court.
A terrific student, Rucker has a 4.5 GPA and scored 1290 on the SAT. As a result, Rucker is hearing from most of the Ivy League, including Cornell, Princeton, Columbia, Penn and Yale. Additionally, Rucker has drawn interest from UC Irvine and Holy Cross.
Rucker says he would prefer to head east. "The Ivy League would be my goal," Rucker said.
We asked what factors would be important to him in choosing a school and Rucker replied, "the campus life, atmosphere of the school." Rucker went on to say that he would prefer to be in a city, as opposed to a small town.
Rucker said he's not sure about the timing of his decision.
