Another Minnesotan Picks B.C.
Dan Coleman doesn't live too far from Troy Bell in Minnesota. The familiarity apparently was a good thing for Boston College of the Big East. Last weekend, Coleman visited the Eagles. He committed to the program on Saturday.
A few weeks ago, we reported that this was a distinct possibility. "It was really the only visit he went on," Pulley Panthers assistant Tony Yazbeck said. "From what I was told he fell in love with the campus. Coach Skinner was real straightforward and honest and makes parents feel comfortable. He'll do real well there."
In our eyes, Coleman has enjoyed a nice spring. His long term potential is very good. He's a bit skinny, but he's very athletic, runs the floor and has a nice touch around the rim. One can easily see him filling out nicely and turning into a very productive college basketball player.
The Eagles also have a chance with swingman Dan Fitzgerald. Coleman's AAU teammate will take his official visit in August. Originally, it was thought he and Fitzgerald would trip together but that didn't take place.
