Sean Marshall, 6-5 JR SF Rialto (Calif.) Eisenhower, is one of the more skilled players at his position in the west. He handles and passes the ball very well, and can shoot it out to the stripe. He also has an excellent feel for the game.
We spoke with Marshall last night and he told us that Colorado, Utah, Loyola Marymount, USC and Nevada all came to his high school during the spring contact period.
We asked if any schools had made a particularly strong impression and Marshall said, "Colorado and USC -- I like both of them." When we asked if it would be fair to characterize those schools as his leaders, Marshall replied, "No, I wouldn't say that. I like them, but I don't really have any leaders yet."
Marshall also mentioned Texas A & M, UConn, New Mexico and Oregon St. as schools that have shown a lot of interest in him.
Marshall said he doesn't have a geographical preference for a school and said he could see himself going away. "I'd kind of like to get away," Marshall said. "But it really doesn't matter where the school is."
We asked if he had a timetable for his decision and Marshall said, "After July. I'll take some trips after the summer, then make a decision."
Marshall said he has a 3.3 GPA and told us he's achieved a qualifying score on the SAT.
