Offers For Junior Jonathan Wills

Junior wing Jonathan Wills is one of the more intriguing prospects in Southern California class. With a more consistent shot, he could see numerous high majors showing interest...

Jonathan Wills, 6-5 JR SF/SG Lakewood (Calif.) Mayfair, is a great-looking prospect with a high upside. Wills has very good range on his shot and he's capable of getting very hot beyond the stripe. He's not yet consistent with his shot, but he has a chance to be recruited at a high level.

We spoke with Wills yesterday and asked him about the schools that have shown the most interest in him so far.

"Long Beach State and Cal State Northridge have offered," said Wills. "Utah, Stanford, Arizona State, Cal State Fullerton and Iowa State have also been showing interest."

We asked Wills what he is looking for in a school.

"I want to go someplace where I can play right away," said Wills. "Also someplace with good academics. The location doesn't really matter."

Wills doesn't sound as if he's close to making a decision.

"I'll probably decide sometime after the summer," said Wills.

Wills said that a Big 12 program was his favorite school when growing up.

"Texas was my favorite," said Wills. "I'd watch them on television and I liked the way they'd play. They'd run, but also have good halfcourt sets."

Wills told us he has a 3.3 GPA.
