Rodrick and Lodrick Stewart, 6-3 JR SG Seattle (Wash.) Rainier Beach, are both very athletic wings with potentially big upsides.
We spoke with Rodrick last night and he told us that North Carolina, Washington, Arizona, USC and Washington St. all came out during the contact period to meet with him and his brother. In addition to those schools, Rodrick said that Arkansas, Mississippi, Florida and Florida St. have all been sending mail.
When asked if there is a leader for their services (the twins are a package deal), Rodrick said, "North Carolina and USC. They were the most impressive among the schools we met with and they're ahead of the pack right now."
Rodrick said their relationship with the coaches and players will be a primary consideration when choosing a school. Playing time will not be an issue. "I know we'll play wherever we go -- playing time isn't an issue," Rodrick said.
It may be some time, though, before the twins make a decision. "We might wait until next spring," Rodrick said.
The twins will attend the NBA camp this month and then will choose between the ABCD and Nike camps. "We went to ABCD last year," Rodrick said. "But we might go to Nike this year."
Both twins took the SAT last Saturday and are awaiting the results.
