Visser Completes First Trip

Kyle Visser, one of the up and coming big men in the Midwest, recently made an official visit. The westward stop was his first visit. Here's a look at how the trip went and who else is on his list.

San Diego State Lands First Visit

Last weekend was the first official recruiting visit for Grand Rapids (MI) Forest Hills Central big man Kyle Visser. The 6-9 power forward tripped to San Diego State to meet with Steve Fisher and assistant Brian Dutcher.

One might initially wonder why San Diego State would get an early trip from Visser. But, you have to remember how strong Fisher and Dutcher were in the state of Michigan during their run on the Wolverines staff.

"It went really well," Visser said of his trip. "They've been recruiting me for a while. I enjoyed myself a lot. I think I might go to Central Michigan early in the next year."

In addition to San Diego State and CMU, Visser is interested in Western Michigan, Marquette and Michigan State. NOTE: We don't think the Spartans have offered and Visser said there are probably more schools involved.

The big fella who averaged 11 points and 8 rebounds as a junior will attend the Nike All-American Camp and travel to Las Vegas for the Big Time with his AAU team the Grand Rapids Storm.
