CTSD: Big East Preview I

FSN South's live, weekly, half-hour recruiting series COUNTDOWN TO SIGNING DAY: HOOPS continues Wednesday, 3/1 at 6:30 p.m. (re-airs Friday, 3/3 at 6:30 p.m.).

Cory Kessler hosts CTSD from FSNS' Midtown Atlanta studio, where he is joined by analysts, former Georgia Tech head coach Bobby Cremins, and Dave Telep, national basketball analyst for Scout.com.

Wednesday CTSD highlights the Big East Conference, with a look at its top guard signees. Connecticut-bound Jerome Dyson (6-3, 185) is a top-10 rated shooting guard from Proctor Academy.

in Andover, N.H. Tory Jackson (6-0, 170) is headed to Notre Dame, where the point guard from Saginaw, Mich. (Buena Vista High School), takes his 26 points and eight assists per game averages. Bolingbrook (Ill.) HS's Will Walker (6-0, 180), who's averaging 19 points and 5.8 assists per outing

this season, inked with DePaul. Marquette welcomes Lazar Hayward, who tallies 27.2 and 9.2 rebounds per game for Notre Dame Prep School in Fitchburg, Mass.

COUNTDOWN also checks in on the nation's top rated high school junior, point guard O.J. Mayo of North College Hill HS in Cincinnati. Mayo, who averages 28.5 points and 8.3 assists per game, has a long list of potential colleges heading into his senior season.

CTSD examines the McDonald's All-American Game roster, to see who made it and who got snubbed. One player not suiting up in the March 29 showdown in San Diego is the third-ranked small forward in the land. Paul Harris (6-4, 215) - a Syracuse signee and prep teammate of Hayward - was left off the McDonald's roster.

CTSD: HOOPS originates from FSN South's Atlanta studio and airs throughout Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee, on the nation's largest regional sports television network. Also, exclusively throughout the state of Florida, CTSD: HOOPS airs live on Sun Sports.
